Cookie policy

Exactly which cookies and browser storage pixbix uses, and what each one does. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking here.

Thinkbix Technologies
The short version. We use the minimum needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, plus privacy-respecting analytics. No advertising cookies, no data brokers, no cross-site tracking.

1What these technologies are#

“Cookies” here covers cookies and equivalent browser storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — since they raise the same privacy questions and we would rather list everything than only the items the word technically covers.

2Strictly necessary#

These make the service work. They cannot be switched off, because without them you cannot stay signed in.

NameTypePurposeDuration
pixbix_tokenlocalStorageYour access token — keeps you signed in between page loads30 days
pixbix_refreshlocalStorageRefresh token used to renew your session without signing in again90 days
pixbix_orglocalStorageWhich workspace you are currently acting inUntil changed
__cf_bmCookieBot mitigation at the network edge30 minutes

Clearing these signs you out. That is the only effect — no content is lost.

3Preferences#

These remember how you like the interface. Optional, but clearing them resets your choices.

NameTypePurposeDuration
pixbix_themelocalStorageLight or dark interface preference1 year
pixbix_editorlocalStorageEditor panel layout, zoom level and grid settings1 year
pixbix_dismissedlocalStorageWhich onboarding hints you have dismissed1 year

4Analytics#

We measure which pages and features get used so we know what to improve. Analytics is aggregate-only: we do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell the data.

NameTypePurposeDuration
pixbix_sessionsessionStorageGroups page views into a single visitUntil the tab closes
pixbix_analyticsCookieDistinguishes returning visits, without identifying you13 months

Analytics is only set with your consent where consent is legally required. Declining does not reduce functionality.

5Third parties#

Three third parties may set storage while you use the service:

  • Razorpay — during checkout only, for payment security and fraud prevention. Governed by Razorpay’s own privacy policy.
  • Google — web fonts loaded during rendering. We do not use Google for sign-in.
  • Cloudflare — network-level bot mitigation and performance.

We do not embed advertising networks, social widgets or session-recording tools.

6How to control them#

  • In the product — manage analytics and preference storage from the consent banner or Settings → Privacy.
  • In your browser — every major browser can block or clear cookies and storage per site. Blocking strictly-necessary items will sign you out and prevent sign-in.
  • Do Not Track — we honour the DNT header by not setting analytics storage.

7Changes#

If we add or change a cookie, this page is updated first. Material changes are notified in the product. See the privacy policy for how personal data is handled more broadly, or write to hello@pixbix.app.
